Seattle ARTCC is pleased to announce our lead-off event for 2004!

Many pilots participated in last May's Puget Sound Passion, an event that featured VFR traffic between six Sound-area airports. We wanted to revisit the fun of last year, but with a little twist...

This year's event will follow the popular 'Poker Run' format, similar to many general aviation and even non-aviation events held in the real world.

The idea is thus:
You, as pilot, will fly IFR (it is January and the Northwest, after all) between 5 Puget Sound-area airports, starting at 1300 PST / 2100Z. We'll provide continuous high-quality ATC coverage, of course. Each time you land, you will be 'dealt' a card by one of our controllers, who will keep track of who has what cards. Since we're staffing 5 airports for the event, eventually you'll have 5 cards and thus will have a poker hand. Once the event is over (1700 PST / 0100Z), we will compare the poker hands of each pilot and determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places!

Then what? You've got bragging rights, right? Well, you'll have a little bit more... 'cause we got some very, very, nice prizes we're itching to give away.

Check the menu to the left to have a look around, and read up on the materials you'll need for the big day. Thanks for stopping by, and we'll see ya January 25th!
